On July 25th, 2017, Postdoc Vishesh Karwa presented a seminar on differentially private confidence intervals at the US Census in the Center for Statistical Research and Methodology Seminar Series on Differential Privacy and Statistical Inference. PIs Adam Smith and Salil Vadhan accompanied Karwa and met with many CDAR researchers to discuss both their research as well as the Bureau’s planned use of differential privacy.
