Undergraduate Joy Zheng first became interested in Privacy Tools research through PI Vadhan and postdoc Ullman's graduate level Cryptography course during Fall 2013. She has continued to work with PI Vadhan on using the lens of differential privacy to evaluate methods for Bayesian inference and “synthetic data generation” traditionally used by statisticians for privacy protection.
