On March 3, the White House Office of Science and Technology policy (OSTP) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) co-hosted a thought-provoking conference about the state of the art in big-data analytics and privacy technologies. In case you missed it, you can find the MIT webcast [here](http://web.mit.edu/bigdata-priv/webcast.html).

As a follow-up, OSTP also released a Request for Information seeking public comment on the ways in which big data may impact privacy, the economy, and public policy. The full Request for Information can be found [here](https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2014/03/04/2014-04660/government-big-data-request-for-information).

In response, our project investigators Salil Vadhan and Cynthia Dwork helped contribute to a response titled "Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights and Big Data". [The full text of their response can be found in our publications section](/publications/consumer-privacy-bill-rights-and-big-data).
